Sports at GVPLA

Building strength, teamwork, and leadership—one Falcon at a time.

PLAY AT

George & Veronica Phalen Leadership Academy

At George & Veronica Phalen Leadership Academy, we believe athletics play a powerful role in shaping confident, disciplined, and well-rounded scholars. Our tuition-free K–8 public charter school offers a growing athletics program that builds teamwork, perseverance, and leadership—on and off the field. Through physical education, intramural sports, and enrichment opportunities, scholars learn the value of hard work, respect, and community pride. At GVP, we celebrate every scholar’s potential to excel academically, athletically, and personally—because when our Falcons rise, they soar together.

Boys Basketball

Boys Basketball at GVP builds leadership, focus, and pride—on the court and in the classroom.

Girls Basketball

Our Girls Basketball program empowers young athletes to compete with confidence, strength, and unity.

Coed Football
(3rd–4th Grade)

Our Coed Football program teaches teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while keeping scholars active and engaged.

Falcon Fury Coed Junior Sports League

Through soccer and kickball for K–6th graders, scholars learn collaboration, resilience, and the joy of active play.

Additional Enrichment Athletics

From recreational fitness to seasonal sports opportunities, GVP encourages scholars to stay active, build healthy habits, and develop lifelong confidence.
